Allama Iqbal was first born on 9th November 1877 in the significant city of Pakistan, Sialkot. From his early days, he was very intelligent as he robustly learned Arabic. For the higher studies, he went to the University of Cambridge. He studied law from Cambridge rather he went to Germany to earn the doctorate degree. By passing out in 1908 from the doctorate degree, he started inscribing poetry in Persian.
He has written extensive volumes of books related to philosophy and poetry. In the poetry’s history, he has a remarkable place. He proposed the idea of a separate homeland for Pakistanis in 1930. Then, he represented Muslims in England at the Round Table Conference. He kept on struggling for the right of Muslim and kept on penning the courage and morale in Indian Muslims. In 1938, he died while praying for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims.
Iqbal Day Customs & Traditions
From start, Iqbal Day was the public holiday and every institution remained close; be it the schools or offices. But later in 2015, the variation in the holidays occurred that exempted Iqbal Day as the public holiday. There are schools that hold special events relevant to Iqbal Day. On these events, students round up the speeches. Some students even read out philosophy and poetry to raise awareness.
