When he set everything and was about to cut the throat, Allah replaced his son with a sheep that was sent from heaven. From that day onward, every Muslim slaughters an animal in the name of Allah on every 10th Zilhaj every year. On the eid, Muslims sacrifice sheep, cow, or a camel.
